Coronavirus Office Policy Update:
For the latest information about the novel coronavirus disease, please visit the Center for Disease Control website.
The Atlantic Spine and Pain physician and staff are concerned about the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19 disease. We are following recommendations by the Center of Disease Control and Prevention by frequently washing our hands with soap and warm water, using hand sanitizer, sanitizing frequently used surfaces, sanitizing patient rooms after each use, wearing masks at all times except when eating or drinking, and maintaining 6 feet distance between others when possible.
We are currently screening patients over the phone and in the check-in area for symptoms. We are asking patients to come to their appointments alone and leave family members in the car when possible. We are asking patients to reschedule their visits if they or anyone in their family is experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath, other flu-like symptoms, or if they have been in close contact with someone suspected of having coronavirus.
Infectious disease experts have recommended frequent hand washing with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds, avoiding sick contacts, staying home if sick, using a disposable tissue for sneezing, avoiding touching your face, wiping down frequently used surfaces. Face masks are recommended while out in public and are required by both staff and patients in our facility.
