We will be CLOSED from Monday, December 26th through Monday, January 2nd. We will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd. We will be monitoring voicemails for urgent needs and Dr. Duncan will remain on-call during this time. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
We have moved! Our new office is nearby, in the same Apex Medical Park. Our new address is: 1001 West Williams Street Suite 103 Apex, NC 27502.
We have recently joined a large network of pain specialists called East Carolina Anesthesia Associates. They are handling such administrative tasks as billing, human resources, accounting, etc.. Atlantic Spine & Pain continues to be privately owned and directed by it’s founder, Dr. Catherine Duncan.
We have recently changed our Electronic Medical Record from Greenway to E-Clinical Works. We ask that you be patient with us as we navigate our new system.
We have hired a very competent and experienced Physician Assistant, Alexandria Elios, PA-C. We hope this addition will allow better access for those in pain and reduce wait time for new patient appointments.
We continue to offer Telehealth visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays during regular business hours. However, insurance companies will be the ones to determine if we can offer this benefit in the future.
Our telephone number has not changed. For appointments, please call 919-439-7867. If there is no answer, we are assisting other patients. Please leave a message and we will return your call within 24 hours. Please note that prescriptions for controlled substances will only be provided during a scheduled appointment.
Coronavirus Office Policy Update: For the latest information about the novel coronavirus disease, please visit the Centers for Disease Controlwebsite. The Atlantic Spine and Pain physician and staff are concerned about the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19 disease. We are following recommendations by the Center of Disease Control and Prevention by frequently washing our hands with soap and warm water, using hand sanitizer, sanitizing frequently used surfaces, sanitizing patient rooms after each use, and maintaining 6 feet distance between others when possible. Face masks are no longer required, but are recommended for those who have not been vaccinated. We are currently screening patients over the phone and in the check-in area for symptoms. We are asking patients to come to their appointments alone and leave family members in the car when possible. We are asking patients to reschedule their visits if they or anyone in their family is experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath, other flu-like symptoms, or if they have been in close contact with someone suspected of having coronavirus. Infectious disease experts have recommended frequent hand washing with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds, avoiding sick contacts, staying home if sick, using a disposable tissue for sneezing, avoiding touching your face, wiping down frequently used surfaces.
